Happy St. Patrick's day or the Irish would say St. Paddy's Day.

By the way, St. Patrick was not even Irish. He was actually Welsh. He was captured at the tender age of 16 by the Irish raiders and was enslaved by them for 6 years before returning home.

Oh, and the original color that represented St. Patrick was actually Blue but the Irish have always worn the 3 leaved clover to commemorate St. Patrick because the shamrock represented the Christian belief of Holy Trinity, One God. Hence, the tradition of wearing green was born.
