Wow! just when I thought that my weekend could not get any better, my Sunday turned from Awesome to RAD!!! ( I love that word! it's so 80's side ponytail)
I volunteered for Project Open Hand's annual fundraising event called Dessert First. The event was held at the Intercontinental Hotel and it was amazing! The line up of the restaurants and pastry chefs that participated was spectacular. I was in dessert heaven. I got assigned to monitor the cheese station but we were allowed to walk around whenever we "needed" a break. Let's just say that I was constantly "needing breaks"...hee hee. They overbooked the number of volunteers so I got to mingle and socialize more than usual. I walked the floor and tasted every single, delicious, delightful sweetness laid out perfectly at each table. My new friend and I strategized that the only way that we could possibly taste all of the dessert was to share it - half bite each; success!
I hate to give away the ending but... we're all gonna die. So eat dessert first and don't delay!

They also had a photo booth. I swear, the next party I throw will have one. It's a really fun way to capture the moments and your mood. I was sugar high, ecstatic, giddy and all sorts of silly.
